Symptom

  • When login into SAP Data Services designer the logon fails with any of the error messages below.
    Error: ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> for data source <> failed: <[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory]SQL Server does not
    exist or access denied.
    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory]ConnectionOpen (Connect()).
    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid connection string attribute>. Notify Customer Support.

    Error: ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> for data source <> failed: <[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0]Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [2].
    [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0]A network-related orinstance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or accessible.
