Symptom
The Tomcat service is not appearing in the Central Configuration Manager (CCM) and does not appear in Windows Services after upgrade/downgrade to a Patch or Support Pack.
If we manually try to add the service fails with below error:
D:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\bin>service.bat install BOEXI40Tomcat
Neither the JAVA_HOME nor the JRE_HOME environment variable is defined
Service will try to guess them from the registry.
Installing the service 'BOEXI40Tomcat' ...
