2367870 - Route Map's Step Mode 'Comment Only' - Compensation Management

Customer noticed that when setting a Compensation Route Map, under the Advanced Options you have the Edit Mode dropdown with 2 options: Full Edit and Comment Only.

With both options, we can understand Full Edit will let the current planner make any kind of changes to the form: provide increases, add coments, etc; and with Comment Only we can understand that only comments will be available for the planner. However, when using Comment Only, the planner cannot make any changes to the form, but only view it - please see the document 'Issue' attached.

Create a Comp form with a custom Route Map: 1st step is Full Edit mode and 2nd step is Comments Only mode.

1) Full Edit - Edit everything and provide comments

2) Comments Only - Manager can only view information and comments

This is an expected behavior of the Compensation module. The Edit Mode 'Comment Only' will not allow the user to make any changes, not even comments.

Administrators should change the Edit Mode to 'Full Edit'.

There is already an Enhancement Request created internally with the Engineering team addressing this question. Support Engineers may refer to the Internal Memo to find the case number.
