2367909 - Add New Employee Wizard Fails With Error 1.0

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - All Versions

1. Go to Admin Center
2. Add New Employee
3. Complete all the required field in the Add New Employee wizard.
4. Click on Save.
5. The error message will appear: 

This error can have ont of the following causes:

1. The attribute Maximum Decimal Place, used for the Pay Component field, needs a value.
2. Salary field under compInfo is enabled.
3. In one instance the cause of the issue is because there is a picklist assigned under the Country Field in the Home Address Field under Country Specific Succession Data Model. (For example if the country you have selected in the Country Field under Home Address Portlet is United States then you need to go to CSF Data Model>USA>Home Address Section>Country).

If your error is cause by the Maximum Decimal Place then apply the below solution.

1. Under Admin Center > Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures > Maximum Decimal Place, update the field with a numeric value of "0 - 6":

2.This field maintains the number for digits in the Pay Component field
3. Please update the same for all the Pay Components being used during New Hire action.

 If the error was ause by the salary field enabled under compInfo, then please apply the solution below:

1.  Go to Manage Business Configuration
2.  Select compInfo and search for the field salary. This field should be disable in data model, please change the field "enable" to NO.
3.  If you receive any error, go to provisioning and export the Succession Data Model and set the field as below

                   <hris-field id="salary" visibility="none">
                  <label>Annual Salary</label>
                  <label xml:lang="fr-CA">Salaire Annuel</label>
                   <label xml:lang="en-US">Annual Salary</label>
                    </hris-field>

If the error was caused by the country field under home address, then please apply one of the solutions below:

1. Remove the picklist assigned under the country field for the country you have selected (So if you selected USA as your country in the Home Address Portlet Go to USA in the data model)  in CSF-SDM via provisioning or;
2. Go to Manage business configuration page>Home Address>Country Specific Home Address Field> and Remove the assigned picklist for the country field.
