2367938 - Cannot Search for Position Workflows in the Manage Workflow Requests Page

In the Manage Workflow Requests page, users can search for workflow requests that they initiated themselves, such as Add National ID, Benefits Adjustment, and Pay Rate Change. However, when they search for Position Workflow Requests (workflow requests created by Change Generic Object actions), no results are returned.

1. Navigate to Manage Workflow Requests.
2. Enter the initiator's name in the Requested By field and click Search.
3. Verify that workflow requests initiated by the user are displayed, except for Position Workflow Requests created by Change Generic Object actions.

This issue might occur when the initiator belongs to a permission role that has Exclude Granted Permission access to him/herself enabled.

For Position Workflow Requests, the Initiator is the Subject User. This is also applicable to other object-based MDF workflows that use the Initiator as the workflow subject user.

In contrast, Time Off and Time Sheet are employee/user-based MDF workflows and use the actual request owner as the subject user.

To resolve this issue, update the permission role to which the initiator belongs and disable the Exclude Granted Permission access to him/herself setting. After this setting is turned off, the affected Position Workflow Requests can be searched from the Manage Workflow Requests page.
