Symptom
Users are able to search for workflow requests initiated by himself such as Add National ID, Benefits Adjustment and Pay Rate Change. However, there are no results if he searches for Position Workflow Requests (Change Generic Object Actions).
Environment
SuccessFactors Employee Central, EC
Reproducing the Issue
1) Login as Initiator and navigate to Admin Center
2) Search and select for Manage Workflow Requests
3) Input Initiator's name to the "Requested By" field, click on Search.
List of Workflow Requests initiated by the user will be displayed except for Position (change) Workflow Requests (Change Generic Object Actions).
Cause
The initiator belongs to a Permission Role which is enabled to Exclude Granted Permission access to him/herself.
For the Position Workflows, the Initiator is the Subject User. This is applicable also for other object-based MDF workflow, they are using Initiator as workflow subject user.
Whereas for the Time Off, Time Sheet, these are employee/user based MDF workflow, they are using actual request for user as the subject user.
Resolution
This is an expected behavior. However, customers may still opt to update the Permission Role to which the initiator belongs to disable /untick "Exclude Granted Permission access to him/herself".
