2368411 - Failed to pass a control handle to an ActiveX using longPtr datatype - SAP PowerBuilder

Symptom

  • You use an ActiveX with a method having a control handle as an argument.
  • You use handle (graphicobject) to pass the control handle to the ActiveX method.
  • In PB 12.6, the handle() function returns a new datatype longPtr. It used to return long datatype in previous versions.
  • Now passing the longPtr to the ActiveX method causes an OleRuntimeError in PowerBuilder
