2369047 - Form can be sent to next step even if Required Field is not filled - Performance Management

Performance Management process is allowing the form to move to the next step in the route map even though the required fields are not completed.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

1. Create a Performance Management form
2. Set the Required Field Permissions
3. Launch the form
4. Send the form to next step to check validation
5. PM form does not validate the required field permission

The reason why the form is allowing to move to the next step and bypass the required field permission is because the minimum value was set to -1. Please note that once this is set to -1 it will bypass the required field permission and will accept 0 character.

Note: from 2411 release, if you designate a field as a required field, the configuration of min-value="-1.0" and max-value="-1.0" will no longer bypass the required field permission.

1.Modify the Performance Management template and change the minimum value from -1 to 1. Please note that these changes will not reflect on all the PM forms that were already launched. This will only apply to newly launched forms.

2. To ensure the required field validation functions correctly, the route map must be configured with an Exit User for the relevant step. If the Exit User is not defined, the system may not trigger the required field validation during the step transition.

By updating the route map to include the appropriate Exit User for the specific step, the system will enforce the required field validation as designed, ensuring the form cannot move forward until all mandatory fields are completed.
