Symptom

  • SWWRUNCNT or SAP_WORKFLOW_SWWRUNCNT fails with error "Changes cannot be made, display user only"
  • SWWRUNCNT or SAP_WORKFLOW_SWWRUNCNT fails with error "No authorization for creating package $SWF_RUN_CNT" 
  • SWWRUNCNT or SAP_WORKFLOW_SWWRUNCNT fails with error "Software component LOCAL is not modifiable"
  • Long runtime of SWWRUNCNT or SAP_WORKFLOW_SWWRUNCNT and package $SWF_RUN_CNT doesn't exist. 
  • Program RSWWRUNCNT returns an error
  • Job canceled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE  
  • Problems after applying SAP Note 2254228 - Workflow: Use of ABAP Dictionary types in workflow and work item containers
