You will receive an error when you try to open or load your MCS solution in your tenant after entering the MCS Installation Key.
MCS Key is not Valid. Please Enter a Valid Key
Reproducing the Issue
- Open SAP Cloud Application Studio.
- Enter the login credentials.
- You will get a pop up with two options: Load MCS SOlution and Deploy MCS solution.
- You will select the first radio button and enter the MCS key generated from the source tenant.
- Error appears.
Cause
The reason for this error is that you have not uploaded the MCS solution to the current tenant and you are trying to load the solution for the first time with the MCS key generated, which is not possible.
Resolution
In the Multi-Customer solution logon mode, you have to use the second radio button Deploy MCS Solution first and upload the .ZIP file of the original solution from the source tenant, which will create a new namespace in the current tenant.
After this you can use the Load MCS Solution option and open the MCS solution with the generated installation key.
