2370685 - How to improve the Performance of Migration Tool

You want to upload a high volume of data using the migration tool, but current performance is not sufficient. So, you want to know if is possible to improve it.

To improve the performance, you can adjust the parallel processing value.
This value define how many webservice calls can be performed at the same time in migration tool which will provide significant performance boost.
If the value is not set explicitly, the default is 4.

1. Open the respective migration activity and open the migration tool
2. After accessing the staging area, click on You can Also in the top right corner
3. Select Adjust Settings for Parallel Processing
4. Raise this value to increase the number of webservice calls that are executed

The optimal value depends on the object and on the actual structure of the data and how large is the data you are migrating.
We recommend you set the value to 16 or 18. This should fit for most of the cases.
Also, only some objects do allow the parallelization, you will find the menu item greyed out if an object does not support it.
