2371113 - Class duration not correct in Learning

The duration of a class is not the same as the length specified in the item.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Create a new scheduled only item (ILT) >
2. Set the length value while creating this item >
3. Once the item is created, go into the item and change the length value in the extended summary >
4. Schedule the item >
5. The end time is automatically calculated. The duration will be the value of the original length column instead of the new one.

• The length value of the item is used as the default duration for a class until it is changed.
• The length is also used to set the total hours value while recording a learning event.
• The segment duration is the real value that is used while scheduling a class.

• The end time of the class can be changed after it has already been scheduled. In the Learning admin side, it is possible to use the "Agenda" tab to check the class segments and edit it:
  
  
1. Go to the class and click the segments section >
2. Double-click the green block that displays when the offering is in the calendar view >
3. Now, the times can be changed for the segments.

• The default duration can also be changed at the item level:
  
  
1. Go to the item and click the agenda template >
2. The duration field of each segment can be changed here >
3. Now, when the item is scheduled, the end time will use this value instead of the original length.

Please note that the change in agenda template will not be reflected in classes that are already scheduled.
