Symptom

Skillsoft connector records rejected with error: Record to be Rejected since ref value for SourceID was NOT found - Skillsoft

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access Learning Administration >
  2. Go to System Administration > Connectors > Skillsoft Connector
  3. Schedule the connector and wait for it to run
  4. The connector succeeded, however a few records are rejected with the error: Record to be Rejected since ref value for SourceID was NOT found - Skillsoft

    Cause

     

    • Source mismatched in connector config file for the below property
      • skillsoft.item.connector.defaultValue.item.source=
    • Example, property: skillsoft.item.connector.defaultValue.item.source=Skillsoft, however under References > Learning > Source is created with ID SKILLSOFT
    • No Source created under Learning Administration > References > Learning Activities > Sources

    Resolution

    • To fix the issue either change the property to match the source ID in connector file or delete the existing source and create new source with the same name given in connector file, so that when the connector runs next time it imports the Skillsoft course into LMS.
