You can delete information like e-mail, phone, address, national ID, and so on, for an active user or a person using the Compound Delete template. There are several use cases for the Compound Delete feature, and some of the questions with are resolved by leveraging this import feature are mentioned below:

Employee Central - Import Employee Data

There is a Compound Delete (Delete All Records) Feature which enables user to delete all the records for a given User Id/Person Id External for specific HRIS element data.

• Phone Information
• National ID Information
• Biographical Info (please note that personInfo can only be deleted via Compound Delete in a specific scenario - please refer to article 2438812 > section "How to use the Compound Delete to delete an orphaned Person ID" for more information)

How do I enable the Compound Delete feature?

To enable the Compound Delete feature for Import Employee Data, you must:

1. Navigate to Manage Employee Central Settings
2. Select "Enable Compound Deletion"
3. Save
   

Once enabled, the Compound Delete Template can be downloaded and imported from Admin Center > Import Employee Data.

Validations:

The following validations are performed when using this import feature:

1. User-Id/Person-Id-External should not be invalid.
2. Hris-Element-Type should not be invalid (either wrong name or not supported - see the current list of support HRIS Elements in the handbook here).
3. Duplicates with respect to User-Id/Person-Id-External and Hris-Element-Type will report an error.
4. If one of the records for a given User-Id/Person-Id-External reports error, none of the other Hris-Element-Type will pass validation for that User-Id/Person-Id-External.

Additional Information:

1. Threshold for the Delete operations is 5000 i.e. if the import file contains more than 5000 records then it will be processed asynchronously.

Customer Action:

• As a customer, you don't have access to Provisioning. To complete tasks in Provisioning, contact your implementation partner. If you're no longer working with an implementation partner, contact SAP Cloud Support.
• Customer must provide a written approval for above task (Enable:  Compound Delete functionality in provisioning so that it will show in Import Employee Data.)
