2375789 - Validation Error when adding users to send AdHoc notification

Symptom

When adding a user to the Send Email Notification list for a Class the following validation error is generated:

 
Validation Error

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

  • The User ID you specified either does not exist or you do not have permission to use it here.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Learning Administration > Learning Activities > Classes
  2. Open a Class record
  3. Actions menu > click Send Email Notification
  4. Select and add users (less than 2,5k users)
  5. Validation Error message is generated

Cause

The "Add History Record" permission is not added to the admin role.

Resolution

To add the  Add History Record permission you will need to identify the admin role that needs to be updated.

  1. Learning Administration > System Adminstration > Security > Role Management
  2. Search for the affected admin role
  3. View the admin role configuration in edit mode and open the Permissions tab
  4. Click in "add one or more from list" under Add Permissions to the Role
  5. Find the People Management group and expand
  6. Find the Add History Record permission and add it to the current role
