Resolution

The successors can be deleted in bulk through an import of successors. To do so, you would need to follow below steps:

  1. Go to Admin Center;
  2. In the Tool Search, search for "Import Successors";
  3. Click "Export Template";

NOTE: The template is dynamically generated based on the nomination method being used in the environment.  For example, if the nomination method used in your instance is Legacy Position, the template headers will be: POSITION_CODE, OLD_POSITION_CODE, POOL_ID, OLD_POOL_ID, READINESS, SUCCESSOR_USERID, ACTION.

  1. In the column "POSITION_CODE" you need to inform the position codes for which you want to delete the successors and under the column "ACTION" inform the command "DELETE", along with entering the "SUCCESSOR_USERID in that column. Leave all the other columns empty;
  2. Go to Admin Center > Import Successors;
  3. Import the recently changed csv file.

The successful import will delete all successors from the position codes present in the csv file.

NOTE: The deletion of successors via Import successors will not delete successors from Nomination History.

To delete nominations from the Succession Org Chart:

  1. Click the nomination to open the talent card
  2. Click the pencil icon to edit:

Edit nomination tile.png

    4. Click the trash icon and 'Submit' to complete action:

Delete nomination Succession.png

Result: the nomination has now been removed from the position.
