2376066 - MULTIPROV BUFFER error occours, during the Report execution

The KBA is only applicable to those cases, when the following Error message occours. Please do not refer to the solution part in any other cases.
A frontend or client tool is used, where the BICS acting as the middle layer to access OLAP (e.g. Design Studio or BI/BW Java Web).

ABEND RSBOLAP (000), ABEND BRAIN (299) ABEND BRAIN (670) errror might occours during the Report execution. The issue is intermittent and sometimes it could be really hard to reproduce.
In the logs an exception could be found, which is similar to: "Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION; MSGV1: SAPMSSY MSGV3: UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION ;ABEND BRAIN (299): System error in program CL_RSR_RRK0_MULTIPROV_BUFR and form _CHECK_INSERT-03-; MSGV1: CL_RSR_RRK0_MULTIPROV_BUFR; MSGV2: _CHECK_INSERT-03-"

The correspondent Frontend might show a generic Error message:
