2376378 - Error 'Web Service ping failed (RC=401). Service Ping ERROR: Unauthorized' in SOAMANAGER when using Boomi

1. Execute the transaction SOAMANAGER in the Employee Central Payroll System.
2. Navigate to 'Web Service Configuration' -> CO_PAOCF_EC_EMPLOYEE_MASTER_DA
3. Click on 'Ping Web Service' Button and you get below error message-

Incorrect credentials maintained in SOAMANAGER.

We need to follow below steps to resolve the error.

1. Execute t-code SOMANAGER and navigate to the Consumer proxy.

2. Now click on Edit option for the consumer proxy 'CO_PAOCF_EC_EMPLOYEE_MASTER_DA' and open the Consumer Security screen and check for the username password maintained(refer screenshot below)-

3. Now we see that in the Username/Password section the value maintained for the field: 'User Name' is: 'employee_confirmation'.

4. So we check for the corresponding value in Boomi. Navigate to 'Atom Management-> Select the atom -> Shared Webserver settings -> User Management'.

5. Now look for the user employee_confirmation and you would see below the username a name written as 'employee_confirmation@successfactors-4G6H' (where 'successfactors-4G6H' is the Boomi account id) (refer screenshot below)

6. So copy this entire string and paste it in the 'User Name' field under t-code SOAMANAGER.

7. After correcting the username, gagain try the Ping Operation and you would see below warning message which is the expected behavior and it means the connection was successfully established between ECP and Boomi.
