2378446 - Workload Analyzer is hanging in Analyzer after 90% is complete - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • The PCAP files are loaded into the repository database. 
  • The analysis step is taking long time. 
  • Blocking is observed in ASE when multiple Workload Analyzer (WLA) processes are blocked by several other WLA processes running COMMIT or UPDATE.
  • sp_show for blocking processes shows:

SQL Text:
Executing procedure: p_analyzedynqrys_cap1
Subordinate SQL Text:
Subordinate SQL Text: update t_queries_cap1 set qry_dynid = @dynid
                    where qry_id in (select qryid from #temptbl2)

   or only

SQL Text:
Executing procedure: p_analyzedynqrys_cap1

  • No errors observed in the error logs.
