Symptom

  • After an upgrade to SAP BW 7.31 SP17, the BAPI universe based reports become slower after upgrading to SAP BW 7.31 SP17.
  • There were no changes on the SAP BO server.

  • The problem does not always occur. It depends on the sequence in which the MDX BAPIs are called. The problem occurs if the BAPI GetMembers is called before the execution of an MDX statement. (Example: Partitioning in APD, parallel extraction).
