2379690 - SuccessFactors Learning - Custom Report Development and Support Scope

• Current provided standard reports do not fulfill business requirements when trying to fetch more information on data collected by Learning.
• Creating custom reports from scratch or using a standard report as a template to turn into a new custom report may be a solution an administrator can provide to users needing this extra information.

To create/modify Learning Custom Reports in SuccessFactors Learning there are two options:

• Develop the report using Plateau Report Designer (PRD).
• Request SAP Professional Services to create/modify the report.

Developing the report on your own using Plateau Report Designer

For this you will need the following:

• Plateau Report Designer (PRD);
• VJDBC connection established;

Notes:  

• SAP Product Support team only supports the initial VJDBC connection setup.
• Assistance to find a database table to develop a report are considered a consulting question and are outside of product support scope.
• Any issues with PRD (connection, errors while running the report) are outside of support scope since Plateau Report Developer is a 3rd party software.

Requests/Issues with custom reports to SAP

1. Request to develop a custom report:
   • Contact your CSM, AE or Sales representative to request them to initiate the contact with the SAP Professional Services team.
   • Please note this is a paid service, after reviewing your request, a quote will be issued by the Professional Services team.
2. Request for support for an already existing custom report:

• • If you are contacting us with regards to a custom report which was developed by SAP, please provide details such as an order reference number, the zip file of the report and description of the issue.
  • This service may incur additional charges depending on the agreement between the customer and SAP Professional Services at the time of the report development. 

Notes: Customization are built on the version of the learning application available at the time of development and may need to be updated in later release. Best practices recommend to have any customization deployed on a test system upgraded in a preview release cycle. This allows you to thoroughly test your customizations after each release and report any issues to your partner/consultant in charge of maintenance of these solutions.
