Symptom

  • One Central Management Server (CMS) in the cluster remains in failed status.
  • Following errors in windows event viewer logs:
    • "All CMSs in the same cluster have the same FIPS and SSL mode settings (FWB 00053)"
    • "root server reported initialization failure"
  • This issue was observed after update of Information Platform Services (IPS) from version 4.1 to 4.2.
