2379878 - Report distributor job status Yellow, Green, Red and Aborted

This document explains what are the report distributor job status: Yellow, Green, Red and Aborted.

• Yellow: Means the report distributor is running.

• Green: The item is ready to download once the icon turns green.

• Red:  Report failed

• Aborted: Implies that the process running the job is interrupted due to problems in the job server. This can be due to following reasons:

1. Job Server processing a specific job is shut down. Note that if this is the case, job will be processed again automatically if there is any other job server up and running.
2. Memory consumption limit is reached and this specific job is the biggest offender in the job server. This job will be interrupted to reduce memory consumption to be able to keep executing other jobs. Note that, memory consumption limit is configurable and by default it is 85%. This job will not be restarted automatically, since it’s possible to have very same issue again. Memory consumption of the specific job is logged before interrupting the process.
3. If the same job is aborted multiple times, it is more likely to be due to latter. That said, more details regarding to failure or abortion of a job can be fetched from job logs.
