2380207 - 'Number of indexed documents' increases very slowly in the Platform Search Application - BI 4.x

Symptom

  • Many documents contained in the platform cannot be searched for in BI Launchpad
  • 'Number of indexed documents' increases very slowly after selecting 'rebuild index' in CMC (Central Management Console) -> Applications -> Platform Search Application

The normal rate of indexing for Platform Search is around ~1000 documents per hour. 'Very slowly' in this case refers to around ~10 documents in an hour.
