2380350 - The following database error occurred: (CS) "Unexpected behavior : com.sap.connectivity.cs.core.CSError: Bad Value for Field" (IES 10901) (WIS 10901) when running Web Intelligence query against Oracle data source with VARCHAR2 fields

Symptom

  • In WebI, when trying to run a query with certain dimensions, the following error is displayed - The following database error occurred: (CS) "Unexpected behaviour : com.sap.connectivity.cs.core.CSError: Bad Value for Field"
  • The report data source is an Oracle database, but the middleware driver for the Universe connection is not the Oracle Native Client
  • The Oracle data source has VARCHAR2 type fields
