2380892 - How to manually purge history in dbccdb that produces Error 1105 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Encountering log suspend in the dbccdb database when attempting to delete history.
  • Receiving the following error:
     
    Msg 1105, Level 17, State 4:
    Server 'MyASE', Procedure 'sp_dbcc_run_deletehistory', Line 236:
    Can't allocate space for object 'syslogs' in database 'dbccdb' because 'logsegment' segment is full/has no free extents. If you ran out of space in syslogs, dump the transaction log. Otherwise, use ALTER DATABASE to increase the size of the segment.
