Symptom
- How to obtain iContent credentials/password?
- Can iContent credentials/password be reset?
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Resolution
Support does not have any visibility on autogenerated passwords. All passwords generated for SFTP/iContent accounts are encrypted and cannot be retrieved. The only option is to reset the password.
Note: resetting the password will not prevent prior content to launch, but you will need to re-enter the new password at deployment locations or third party tools for new content import.
To request a password reset for your iContent account, please open a case for the LOD-SF-PLT-FTPS component and provide the following information:
- An explicit claim that you'd like to reset or retrieve the iContent account credentials.
- The specific iContent account name (it may be something like "[Company]_content").
- It is extremely uncommon to have more than one iContent SFTP account. If iContent was already provisioned and there is only one account on record, the same SFTP account is used in both Production and Non-Production environments.
- Your approval to reset the iContent account credentials.
- Customer's email (for SuccessFactors to send the login / reset credential on. Please note credentials are automatically sent to just one email.) - preferably the Customer IT contact or an email with the customer domain.
