Reports and the query behind a report component can be exported to Excel format in the Online Report Designer. Very large reports, with a lot of rows, can appear truncated once exported to Excel.

Cause
If the row count of an export exceeds 65535, exporting to Excel (XLS/XLSX) format due to limitations with the Excel (XLS/XLSX) version. Excel has certain limits on size which ORD cannot override.
Resolution
The solution is to use the CSV export format available. This is without limitations and will allow for exporting large reports. Bear in mind that large exports should be run through the Report Distributor. You can use the function "Attach to Bundle" directly in the query, or when editing the query behind a report component.
