2382447 - HANA Instance startup failing with "error during deamonizing"

Symptom

The startup of the HANA instance is failing. The "HDB start" command executed as HANA sidadm on OS level reports that the deamon is unable to start.
Upon checking the deamon trace in the HANA trace-directory /usr/sap/<SID>/HDB<instanceno>/<hostname>/trace you find the following error:

TrexDaemon.cpp(06160) : creating nameserver shared memory (shmid=<unknown>, size=268435456) failed with rc=2/-, os-error=2/No such file or directory
TrexDaemon.cpp(06181) : "sudo -n /usr/bin/ipcs 2>&1" delivered:
sudo: sorry, a password is required to run sudo
TrexDaemon.cpp(06227) : nameserver shared-memory/lock initialization failed. aborting daemon
TrexDaemon.cpp(15307) : error during deamonizing
