2382503 - Exception TOO_MANY_PARAMETERS(SY-SUBRC=604) in FM SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE(LONG)

Symptom

  • Calling an external command with the function SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE or SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE_LONG, using the ADDITIONAL_PARAMETERS parameter.
  • The system triggers the exception TOO_MANY_PARAMETERS (for SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE_LONG) or X_ERROR (for SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE).
  • The sy-subrc = 604 can be seen in the trace log, the 604 means rc_too_many_parameters(for more details refer to SAP Note 1529922).
