2385353 - User not appearing in a user field dropdown- EC

We have defined a custom User field to maintain user information in the MDF obejct. If the new hire is in the future, we cannot find the user in the field even we change the effective date of MDF Object to later than the future hire.

For example, I want to add 'Test User' who is a future hire on Nov 7, 2016 to MDF Object. However, when I go to Object Instance in Manage Data admin tool, I cannot find 'Test User' in the custom user field even I set the effective date of the object to Nov 7, 2016.

OR

We have defined a custom User field to maintain user information (for example, Mentor information) in the Job Information. If the new hire is in the future, we cannot find the user in the field even we change the effective date of Job Information to later than the future hire.

For example, I want to add 'Test User' who is a future hire on Nov 7, 2016 to Mentee's Job Information. However, when I go to Job Information in Manager Self-Service, I cannot find 'Test User' in the custom user field even I set the effective date of the Job Information Record to Nov 7, 2016.

Inactive users will not appear in the user field dropdown as per effective-dated system design at current time of editing.

You can add only active users presently in the system into any user fields.

In case of inactive users and future dated new hire, they are still inactive in Employee Central effective dated system until the hire date is approached. 

Therefore, inactive users will not appear in the user fields dropdown.
