What are the standard fields supported in People Search to search employees?

People Search:

Supports query on following system standard fields:

• User firstname
• User lastname
• User mi (middle name)
• User nickname
  
  
• The people search will only display First, Last and Middle name.
• It will allow the search by nickname but will not display in the people search.

Notes:

• You can allow the users to search by the Username, but for that, you need to make sure that the option "Hide Username in the UI" is not checked in Platform Feature Settings;
• This option is used to hide the Username from the search results: see KB 2183239 - How to Hide a Username from the People Search in SuccessFactors;
• If "Employee Central V2" is enabled, you will be able to search also by the Person ID (personInfo.person-id-external);
• Users will only be able to search external person ID if the employee is considered an Employee Central user in the system.
• We don't support using only the postfix numbers of person ID to search, we have to use the prefix part too. 
• If "Search People by EC name Field in Global Header" is enabled, system will also query on:
• formal_name
• preferred_name
• display_name
• second_last_name
• partner_name

Types of Search when “Search People by Employee Central Name Fields” is enabled in Admin Center > Company System and Logo Settings:

Prefix Search

Triggered when you enter a search string with no blank space. This supports the following Search:

• display_Name ($(First_Name) $(Middle_Initial) $(Last_Name).)
• formal_Name (Value set in Personal Information in Employee profile)

If the value set on formal_Name or display_Name contains a blank space, then the user you are trying to search will not appear)

Triggered when you enter a search string with a blank space or below supported search strings.

• firstName lastName
• middleName
• username
• preferredName 
• AlternativefirstName AlternativelaststName

Important: People Search will not search on User ID.
