2385949 - MDM Client error - The network is disconnected, or the host machine is not running

Symptom

When trying to connect to the MDM repository using one of the MDM desktop clients (MDM Console, Data Manager, Import Manager, Syndicator etc.), following error message appears:

"Error connecting to MDM Server" "The network is disconnected, or the host machine is not running"
