2386613 - When can you include Company/Legal Entity in the Position to Job Information Sync Rule

Symptom

When setting up a Position to Job Information Sync rule, when can you include Company/ Legal Entity in the set conditions.

Environment

Employee Central - Position Management - Position to Job Information Sync

Resolution

In "Position Management Settings" on the "UI Customising" tab.
If the "Use Company Filter for Positions in MSS Job Information and History" option is set to "No", you may include the Company/Legal Entity field in the Position To Job Information Sync Rule.

We therefore recommend including Company/Legal Entity in the Position to Job Information Sync Rule, if in "Position Management Settings" on the "UI Customising" tab. 
 •  "Use Company Filter for Positions in MSS Job Information and History" option is set to "No".

Please Note:

As of the b1711 release there will be a check tool, check which you can run to identify if you have the above incorrectly configured:

To run this check:

  1. please navigate to the Check Tool feature from Admin Center.
  2. Select the Position Management Application.
  3. Run all checks, to check your overall Position Management Configuration.
    The check "Position to Job Information sync rule" is the specific check for the above issue:
