Symptom
When reviewing an employee's people profile, the Skill Profile section/subsection/block is missing.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Job Profile Builder
- SAP SuccessFactors People Profile
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to SuccessFactors
- In the module picker, select My Employee File
- Search for the Skill Profile section/subsection/block and it cannot be located
Cause
- The Skill Profile block was not saved within Configure People Profile
- The Skill Profile section/subsection/block is hidden
- The Skill Profile object is inactive
- Skill Profile section does not have View permission
- The Skill Profile permission hasn't been granted
- Employee is not within the user's target population
Resolution
The Skill Profile block was not saved within Configure People Profile
Please double check the Skill Profile block has been saved by following the steps in Implementing and Managing Job Profile Builder - Configuring Skill Profile in People Profile.
The Skill Profile section/subsection/block is hidden
Please review Configuring People Profile - Showing or Hiding a Section or Subsection on the People Profile for steps to enable visibility to the Skill Profile section or subsection.
The Skill Profile object is inactive
Please review Implementing the Metadata Framework (MDF) - Viewing MDF Object Data to set the Skill Profile object to Active.
Skill Profile does not have View permission
Please review Configuring People Profile - Role-Based Permissions for the Legacy People Profile to enable View for Skill Profile under Employee Views Section.
The Skill Profile permission hasn't been granted
- Please review Implementing and Using Diversity and Inclusion Features in SAP SuccessFactors - Setting Up Visibility for Skill Profile to ensure the Secured field is set to Yes.
- Please review Implementing and Using Diversity and Inclusion Features in SAP SuccessFactors - Setting Up Permissions for Skill Profile to grant Skill Profile permissions.
Employee is not within the user's target population
Please review Implementing the Metadata Framework (MDF) - Restricting Data Access of a Role with Target Population or Criteria to ensure the employee is within the user's target population.
