2386698 - Call to _GetAuthDB4(<SID>OFR ) failed in STMS

Symptom

This error can occur in two different circumstances.

Case A : Your system has not been converted to New User Concept

  • You experience problems releasing and importing transport requests in STMS.
  • You are using still using IBM i Old User concept
  • The log shows the following errors:
    *** ERROR => Call to _GetAuthDB4(<SID>OFR ) failed
    *** Exception text could not be retrieved: CPF9897
    *** ERROR => Switch to <SID>OFR failed.no connect possible: "DBMS = DB2/400"


Case B: A similar error can occur even if you are already on New User Concept

     *** ERROR => Call to _GetAuthDB4(<SID>OFR)       
     *** User profile <SID>OFR is disabled.
     *** ERROR => Switch to <SID>OFR failed

(Where <SID> is the System ID of the SAP system.)
