2386719 - CSF Home Address fields are not being set to NULL when changing the country

Symptom

When you edit a Home Address Record for a user and change the country.
The fields which are not visible for the new country still maintain the pervious address information in reporting.
This is producing a wrong (mix of previous and present address) data in reporting.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to a users Home Address Information
  2. In History Select Take Action> Make Correction (Edit)
  3. Change the address of a user to a new country.
  4. Save
  5. Report on the data
  6. A mixture of the new and pervious address data can be seen. 

Cause

This is caused by the method of which the data is changed.

Resolution

  • When changing the country of a home address, this must be done via insert new record.
  • If a change to country is made to an existing record (Take Action -> Make Correction or Edit) home address details with a different country where, for example, address1 and address2 fields are not configure in CSF Succession Data Model, the dat of these fields will not be set to null and will be reportable in the new address.
