2388606 - Error 1204: ASE has run out of LOCKS - SAP ASE CE

Symptom

  • Receiving the following messages in ASE Cluster errorlog:

Error: 1204, Severity: 17, State: 4
ASE has run out of LOCKS. Re-run your command when there are fewer active users, or contact a user with System Administrator (SA) role to reconfigure ASE with more LOCKS.

  • The following errors may also appear in the ASE Cluster errorlog:

login: Process with spid 389 could not connect to the ASE which has temporarily run out of locks.
login: Process with spid 315 could not connect to the ASE which has temporarily run out of locks.
login: Process with spid 1161 could not connect to the ASE which has temporarily run out of locks.
login: Process with spid 621 could not connect to the ASE which has temporarily run out of locks.
