2390829 - The Changes on the Page Layout are Not Working

Symptom

You have made changes to an already assigned Page Layout but the change did not reflect.

Reproducing the Issue

In the HTML5 version of the system:

1. Go to the Adapt menu.
2. select Edit Page Layout.
3. Select the Page Layout XYZ (XYZ represents the identification of an exisiting Page Layout).
4. Edit its properties.
5. End Edit Page Layout.
Even though the Page Layout XYZ is assigned to an Object, e.g. an Account, the changes you just made are not reflecting.

Resolution

When you are finished editing an exisiting page layout:
1. Instead of ending the layout changes, you need to choose Assign Page Layout.
2. You will see that the Page Layout XYZ is already assigned to a role, so no action is required here.
3. But it is extremely important that you choose the Apply button.

Hence, you need to choose 2 additional options, Assign Page Layout --> Apply.
Only when you Apply, do the changes actually take affect on the business role.
