2390975 - Repository on HANA DB: error during PDM Check In - SAP PD

Symptom

  • SAP PowerDesigner 16.6.1 repository is installed on a HANA 1.0 database. When the user attempts to Check In a PDM, the consolidation is cancelled with error:
    • unexpected error while executing sql statements in the repository
  • Review of ODBC trace lists the following error:
    • DIAG [S1000] [SAP AG][LIBODBCHDB DLL][HDBODBC] General error;274 inserted value too large for column:  <<reference to first line in a column comment>>

  • Issue only occurs on repository installed on HANA
