2391588 - POWL does not respect Refresh Type setting

Symptom

A Personal Object Work List (POWL) is not respecting the Refresh Type setting of a default query defined in transaction POWL_QUERY.

Even though you have set the Refresh Type to Manual Only, the POWL executes the default query when you visit the page.

This can cause:

  • Slow performance.
  • Forced synchronous behavior.
  • A timeout exception to be thrown.
  • The web browser to become completely unresponsive.
  • The page to never load. (It just hangs with an animated progress spinner in the center)

The following screenshot shows which setting is not respected:
