Symptom
Query with GROUP BY could fire
- a data conversion error on version prior to IQ16 SP08 PL38 while no data conversion is required
Data exception - data type conversion is not possible: varchar( 20, 0) to smallint( 5, 0)
using local: SIGNED varchar to UNSIGNED smallint

O/S Err#: 0, ErrID: 546 (hos_dtexception); SQLCode: -1009145, SQLState: 'QFA2E', Severity: 14
Data type conversion is not possible. varchar( 20, 0) to smallint( 5, 0).-- (oslib/hos_dfe.cxx 13768)
- or a non-fatal stack trace in hs_csortexception::hs_csortexception on IQ16 SP11 PL04.
