Symptom

  • After installing Business Objects IP 4.2  SP3 suite, CrystalReports2016ReportApplicationServer fails to start and CrystalReports2016ProcessingServer stays in starting state.
  • Suite installation log shows the error "Failed to (un)register 34 MainWin libraries" preceded by a number of similar "Errorcode 1" strings.
