2394131 - User Interface of Adding Goals via different browsers - Goal Management

The user Interface of Add/Edit Goals dialogue window in different browsers possesses different functionality.

• SAP SuccessFactors Career Development Plan

• Add or Edit any Goal in Internet Explorer
• Attempt to resize window, and note that the form will not autofill to new dimensions.
• Notice there are scroll bars available for text boxes.

• Add or Edit any Goal in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
• Attempt to resize window, and see that the form will autofill to new dimensions.
• The textboxes can be resized by using the icon in the lower right corner of the box.

There are differences in the web browser functionality of Internet Explorer and Chrome/Firefox that cause these inconsistencies.

INTERNET EXPLORER

• There are no Minimize/Maximize options in the Add/Edit Goal dialogue window.
• When expanding the dialogue window there is a blank space, the window does not automatically resize.  See this KBA for an explanation and workaround: 2436266
• There is no option to manually expand the text box size, however the text box will automatically vertically resize depending on the amount of text added.
• There is no horizontal scrollbar.
• The dialog URL is not displayed in the header.

GOOGLE CHROME

• There are Minimize/Maximize options in the Add/Edit Goal dialogue window to resize the window.
• There is an option to manually expand the text box size both vertically and horizontally.
• There is a horizontal scrollbar which appears when the text boxes are resized.
• The dialog URL is displayed in the header.
