2394484 - "Error" appears in IDT without any further explanation during refresh structure

Symptom

  • Generic error message appears in IDT without any detailed explanation.
  • The error appears in Data Foundation during the refresh structure of the universe.
  • The issue was not persisted in BI 4.0, it only appears first from BI 4.1.
  • The issue occurs only with multi source universes.
  • The following can be seen from the client tool trace log:
    java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

                    at com.businessobjects.bimodeler.datafoundation.wizards.refreshstructure.model.RefreshStructureRunnable.run(RefreshStructureRunnable.java:137)
