• If you do not populate the "Time Recording Variant" field in the Add New Employee Wizard > Job Information, an error appears even though field is not set as required or is not enabled: "Please assign a time recording variant so that all the Time Off fields have an entry."
• Error when importing job history: "Please assign a time recording variant so that all the Time Off fields have an entry."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to the Add new Emplyee Wizard.
2. When you get to the Time Information section, and you fill in the fields Holiday Calendar, Work schedule and Time Profile (all set required fields),
3. and leave the Time Recording Variant field blank, along with the other non mandatory fields
4. Observe that an error appears: "Please assign a time recording variant so that all the Time Off fields have an entry."

• This is expected behaviour.
• "The options here are Clock Times and Duration. Don't leave this field on No Selection if you make entries in the other time information fields."

• Time Recording Variant belongs to the Time Off fields and needs to be populated.
• Time Off fields which must be populated:

Holiday Calendar
Work Schedule
Time Profile
Time Recording Variant

• While importing make sure to use the correct code in the import file for Time Recording Variant: CLOCK_TIME and DURATION
