2396227 - Half Day Holiday is Not Reflected in Holiday Calendar and Time Sheets

Symptom

According to the Holiday Calendar in Business Configuration a half day holiday is configurated. This is not reflected in the Time Sheet of the Employee who has this Holiday Calendar assigned.

Real time Scenario:

Your Company has half-day Holidays on Christmas Eve and those Holidays fall on a weekend. There is also a setting that in such cases, those holiday should be shifted to Previous Friday. However, it's not reflecting accurately in the Holiday Calendar or Time Sheets. It still reflects the weekend dates as the Public Holiday.

Resolution

If you are creating a Half Day holiday through Holiday Calendar then the below setting should be performed in the Time Model. The steps are as follows,

Step 1:

1. Go to Time Administration work center
2. Select Time Models view
3. Select the Daily Model (EX: DAILY)
4. Select Edit
5. Highlight the Validity Intervals
6. Under Details, Select Show as Deviation On Half Day Off

Add an entry here for Half Day.

Note: You need to change the setting for the Daily model which is assigned to the Employee.

Step 2:

1. Go to Time Administration work center
2. Select Regular Tasks view
3. Run Day Closure for One Employee
4. Flag Start Time Valuation
5. Select Run
6. Choose Valuation Start Date from which the Time shall be recaculated
7. Select OK


After executing it, you can find the change for the Employee.
