  • You are sending data to an endpoint on your Cloud Integration tenant which uses one of the SOAP based adapters, but the message processing is failing because of an error similar to the following - 


    Inbound processing in endpoint at /<endpointName> failed with message "SoapFault:faultstring=Error reading XMLStreamReader: Unexpected character '-' (code 45) in prolog; expected '<'
    at [row,col {unknown-source}]: [1,1]; faultcode={}Client", caused by "WstxUnexpectedCharException:Unexpected character '-' (code 45) in prolog; expected '<' at [row,col{unknown-source}]: [1,1]"

  • The error is being thrown by one of the following adapter types - 

    SOAP (SOAP 1.x) Adapter
    SOAP (SAP RM) Adapter
    SuccessFactors SOAP Adapter
    IDoc Adapter
