Symptom

You are sending data to the IFlow where the inbound processing is done for example by SOAP adapter, but the message processing is failing because of this error:

Inbound processing in endpoint at /<endpointName> failed with message "SoapFault:faultstring=Error reading XMLStreamReader: Unexpected character '-' (code 45) in prolog; expected '<'
 at [row,col {unknown-source}]: [1,1]; faultcode={http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Client", caused by "WstxUnexpectedCharException:Unexpected character '-' (code 45) in prolog; expected '<' at [row,col{unknown-source}]: [1,1]"
