Symptom

  • The ASE errorlog reports Error 705:

Error: 705, Severity: 19, State: 1
There is no room for process 423 to store PROC_HDR hex# in Pss.

  • With a stacktrace containing these functions:

add_prochdr
memcreate
s_copytmps
memalloc

  • Error 4224 may be reported for the same spid:

Error: 4224, Severity: 16, State: 2
An interruption occurred in process 423 due to USER ATTENTION or connection failure.
