2397837 - Using Adcode field - Recruiting

Symptom

What is an "Adcode" field and how does it work?

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing

Resolution

Recruiting Management (RCM) supports a standard "Adcode" field that can be included in the Job Requisition forms for job distribution. The Media Team in RMK uses Adcode information to know which job boards to send feeds to.

In order to use Adcode, a multi-select (mfield) field in RCM must be implemented with values such as Monster and Career Builder.

Please, note that this is the ONLY field where a multi-select picklist can be used for mapping to RMK.

How does it work? Adcodes are passed behind the scenes using an API. Therefore, the fields do not appear on the RMK career site. The XML setup and job distribution requires additional Professional Services engagement.

In summary: a multi-select picklist field named “Adcode” (or similar) may be added to the RCM job requisition to indicate where the company would like the job to be posted.

This screen capture contains a field named “Job Board Postings” with some sample job posting locations shown in the custom help text. This will vary by customer:
