2399712 - Targeted CR List for SDK 16.0 SP02 PL05 for SAP ASE

Symptom

The purpose of this KBA is to help SAP customers obtain a general idea of potential fixed situations in future Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) EBF/SP or PL releases. Please be sure to read the Disclaimer below.

JDBC Driver 800511 jConnect may not establish a FIPS complian connection when the connection properties "ENABLE_SSL" and "ENABLE_FIPS" are set to TRUE. See KBA 2397881
JDBC Driver 798821 When ENABLE_BULK_LOAD = true, when inserting Numeric / Decimal values with precision greater than that defined for the column, the insertion did not fail with numeric overflow exception. See KBA 2315955
ODBC Driver 800726 Heavy contention on the statement cache hash chain in SAP ASE may be observed leading to degraded performance. See KBA 2397884
ODBC Driver 798775 The ODBC connection crashes if number of open file descriptor is greater than 1024. See KBA 2318011
ODBC Driver 798237 Applying an aggregate function on a numeric column results in an invalid conversion and data overflow error. See KBA 2397848
ctlib 800955 When connecting to ASE with a user that is assigned a default database, but the user is not a valid user in the database, the login attempt failed with the error: "There is a a tds state machine error. An illegal tds token sequence was received". Ct-Library no raises the correct error: "Server user id <x> is not a valid user in database...."
ctlib 800355 In conjunction wih support for TLS 1.1 and 1.2, retrieval of CS_PROP_SSL_PROTOVERSION property will return the negotiated protocol version after a connection has been established. See KBA 2343181
ctlib 793749 Failures with executing a Dynamic Prepare statement could resulting Segmentation Violaiton (' Infected with signal 11 ') in routine ct_tds_dynres_undo(). See KBA 2321379
srvlib 801931 To remove weaker 3DES and RC4 cipher suites form the list of default ciphers. SRVLIB application that need to support 3DES can use a new environment variable SYBOCS_SRVLIB_CIPHER to set the list of comma-delimited ciphers at runtime. CTLIB  applications can use the runtime. CTLIB applications can use the runtime configuration file to se the list of ciphers
srvlib 800800 Reading of dynamic SQL parameters leaked memory in srv_getparamdata().
sypydb 802682 The python module may raise a ProgrammingError when using readinto() method on LOB onject in case of the TEXT / IMAGE column contains NULL. See KBA 2399106
